Jorge A. Catalá Sanz

He is graduate in Modern History and Doctor in History from the Universitat de València, and is tenured professor at the Department of Modern History since 1995. He was secretary of the Department of Modern History of the Universitat de València, Vice-dean of International Relations, Coordinator of Exchanges, Coordinator of Educational Innovation and Secretary of the Faculty of Geography and History of Valencia, General Coordinator of the White Paper for the design of the Degree of History funded by ANECA, representative of the Universitat de València in the Tuning Educational Structures in Europe project funded by the Directorate-General of Education and Science of the European Commission, representative of the Universitat de València at the Tuning América Latina project and Head of Initiatives of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection of the Universitat de València. In the field of research, he has published several books and works on different topics, as: The economic position of Valencian Aristocracy in the modern era, Valencian Enlightenment, 18th Century Spanish University reform, violence and public order during the Austrias era and Moorish Brigandage.
