Teresa Mª Garrigues Pelufo

Teresa GarriguesThe professor Teresa Mª Garrigues Pelufo is full university professor of the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology. He got a degree in Pharmacy in June 1985 and the doctorate in 1989, directed by the Professor Plá Delfina and the Professor Martín, both pioneers in Spain in the teaching of Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutical. She was Secretary of its Department during 10 years and she is Vice-Dean of Mobility and ICT of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Valencia since April 2010.

Besides, she holds other degrees as Pharmacist Specialising in Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy, and as Pharmacist Specialising in Analysis and Control of Drugs and Medicine, which she got in 2000 and 2002 respectively. She has a Master's Degree in  Health Law from the UCLM and other in Management of Human Resources from the UOC. She belongs to the teaching staff in Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceuticals and Pharmacokinetics and Pharmaceutical Law and Ethics at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Valencia. She is also responsible of the subject of Introduction to the Biomedical Sciences of the La Nau Gran Science itinerary.

She has directed 13 Doctoral Thesis. Overall, with this activity she has been recognised with 5 teaching quinquennia. Its scientific interest focuses on the drug absorption, both orally and percutaneously, and in the validation of alternative models to the use of animals for the pre-clinical studies thereof. Also, she participates in the development and optimisation of new pharmaceutical ways and she has actively collaborated in the research group on pharmacetical Law.  She is author of more than 40 articles in international repute magazines in its field of work. She has four six-year periods of research qualified positively by ANECA.

She has carried out research stays at the Royal Infirmary of Edimburgh (Scotland) and at Pullman State University (Washington); and teaching stays at Saarland Universitat (Germany) and at the Università degli Studi de Padova (Italy).
