Ongoing Projects
AGATA
AGATA (Advanced Gamma Tracking Array) is a gamma ray spectrometer which is and will offer before unaffordable capabilities in terms of energy resolution and covering in the field of gamma spectroscopy. It's one of the two unique spectrometers in their kind under development in the world. The i2N group takes part in this European collaboration in the development of the electronics for the data acquisition system.
NEDA
NEDA (NEutron Detector Array) is detector conceived to be coupled to other detectors, mainly gamma spectrometers, to detect the neutron emitted in fusion evaporation reactions. It's based on liquid scintillators covering the area surrounding the reaction chamber. The i2N group participates in this international collaboration with the design of the digitizer mezzanine modules as well as in machine-learning algorithm developments for improving triggering as well as pile-up deconvolution.
GRIT
GRIT (Granularity, Resolution, Identification, Transparency) it's a new generation silicon array for low energy nuclear physics. It offers the unique possibility to investigate nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics with high efficiency and high resolution by coupling with state-of-the-art gamma array like AGATA, PARIS, EXOGAM2, MINIBALL… The i2N group participates in this detector with the first prototype of a pipeline asymmetric switched capacitor array for the digitization of the GRIT signal as well as with front-end digital electronics design.
