José M. Peiró, Doctor Honoris Causa of the Methodist University of São Paulo (Brazil)
The Methodist University of São Paulo (Brazil) has conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to the distinguished scientist José María Peiró at the IV Congresso Brasileiro De Psicologia Organizacional E Do Trabalho (IV CBPOT).
The goal of the Congress is to provide opportunities to disseminate the knowledge and to stimulate the debate among the researchers and professional of Work and Organizational psychology and related areas. It also aims to stimulate networking and to strengthen the existing networks. More than 1800 participants are expected in a large Country where the community of Work and Organizational Psychologists is very large and well organized and developed. The event is promoted by the Brazilian Association of Work and Organizational Psychology and the Universidade Metodista de Sao Paulo. The Brazilian Association of Work and Organizational Psychology was created in 2001 being its goal to promote science and education in the field of W&O Psychology though the research and the dissemination of knowledge and technologies in our discipline. Professor Peiró (President of the Division 1 of IAAP) has been invited to deliver the Inaugural address under the title of “New trends in occupational stress research and its implications for psychosocial risk analysis in organizations”.
