Guided Interactive Applets require the interaction of the student after the applet is downloaded onto the student's computer. The applet uses ViSta guidemaps to guide the student through a series of data analysis steps. With this approach, students more clearly see the series of steps involved in an analysis, and control the rate and flow of the steps. Guided Interactive Applets
For example, there are several kinds of correlation measures, including the Spearman measure for ordinal variables. ViSta does not compute Spearman correlations directly, but must first convert data to ranks. A guided interactive applet is ideal for this situation.
Note: Guided applets are an experimental feature of ViSta version 4.28 and later (including 5.x), and are not supported by earlier versions.

- If you don't have ViSta 4.28 or later installed, click here to see what the student sees.
