Our interdisciplinary team brings together expertise from healthcare research, business management, innovation studies, bibliometrics, and science policy.

Principal Investigator

Dr. Óscar Llopis Córcoles

Associate Professor, University of Valencia

Dr. Llopis is the Principal Investigator of the CITI-SCIENCE project. He holds a PhD from INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) and the University of Valencia. His research focuses on knowledge transfer and innovation in the biomedical field, with particular interest in the task-related characteristics of jobs and individual motivation.

Previous experience includes: Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bordeaux (2014-2016) and Assistant Professor at the Rennes School of Business (2016-2018).

Research Team Members

Dr. Patricia Fernández

Post-doctoral Researcher and Assistant Director, FISABIO

Dr. Fernández is an expert in biotechnology and nano-biomaterials, with extensive experience in R&D project management for healthcare research projects. She conducts research on responsible research and innovation in healthcare, including gender perspectives in healthcare innovation and institutional open data science strategies.

Dr. Pablo D’Este

Senior Researcher, INGENIO (CSIC-UPV)

Dr. D’Este’s research focuses on science-society interactions, knowledge networks and innovation, knowledge transfer, and barriers to/drivers of innovation. He has extensive experience in designing and administering large-scale surveys of academic scientists and business R&D managers.

Dr. François Perruchas

‘Ramón y Cajal’ Post-doctoral Researcher, University of Valencia

Dr. Perruchas focuses on socio-economic processes involved in green innovation and environmental sustainability. He is committed to Open Science values, working on infrastructure to bring high-quality datasets and methods to the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) studies field.

Dr. Susanne Beck

Senior Researcher, Open Innovation in Science Center (Vienna)

Dr. Beck is a leading international expert on research into the antecedents to, and consequences of open and collaborative research practices. She conducts cutting-edge research in the field of citizen science and open innovation in science.

Dr. Carmen Corona

‘Margarita Salas’ Post-doctoral Researcher, UV and Technische Universität Berlin

Dr. Corona is an expert in qualitative research methods, the determinants and consequences of scientific careers, and gender studies. She has wide experience in qualitative study methods and extractive qualitative content analysis (EQCA).

Dr. Alfredo Yegros

Senior Research Fellow, CWTS (Leiden University)

Dr. Yegros is affiliated with the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS), a world-leading center focused on quantitative studies of science. He has published studies on healthcare research portfolios and is a science and technology expert.
