Valencia 10th, 11th and 12th March 2010.

FIRST CIRCULAR AND CALL FOR PAPERS:
This conference has two aims: (1) to highlight the role of IULMA as a platform for research and services in specialized languages and (2) to offer researchers and teachers the opportunity to participate in a conference that hopes to offer a global view of interdisciplinary research and teaching in specialized languages while taking into account the real needs of industry, commerce, and the professions. Interdisciplinarity thus constitutes one of the central axes of this conference together with Information and Communication Technologies applied to research and teaching in specialized languages.

The programme of activities and workshops for the third day of the Conference will be for IULMA members exclusively.

We hereby encourage both researchers and teachers to send abstracts for talks that fall within the following main areas:

- Discourse analysis on academic and professional genres
- Specialized translation
- Lexicology and terminology
- ICT applied to research and/or teaching of specialized languages

Abstracts (in Spanish and English) should be a maximum of 500 words in length. 4 key words should be specified.
