On 15 November 2024, Universitat de València delivered school material to CEIP Vicent Ricart i Bonillo in Benetússer. This was one of the many schools’ centres that were affected by the DANA consequences. The material was collected at the Faculty of Teacher Training and had the participation of UV volunteers and teachers of Benetússer’s centre, who collected the resources aimed at the students.
Among the material that was delivered were more than 1,000 units of basic school and pedagogic supplies: pencils, erasers, pens, scissors, glue sticks, A4 cardboards, sheets of paper (10 packages of 500 sheets), crayons, paintbrushes, tempera, adhesive tape, as well as a box of shapes made of cork and 146 storybooks.
Furthermore, 46 educational games for children between 3 and 5 years were given. There were puzzles, dominoes, toy kitchens, dolls and other useful resources to motor, social and cognitive development in early education stages.
This donation proves the Universitat de València engagement with equal opportunity and support to the educational community in emergency and post emergency contexts..
