On 26 April 2018, the director of the ETSE-UV, professor Paula Marzal, collected the Equit@t Prize of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya at the Francesca Bonnemaison Culture Centre in Barcelona in recognition for the promotion of gender equality in ICT.
The act counted on the presence of the General Director for Equality of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the head of the office for Women and LGTBI of the Council Office of Barcelona and the Vice-Principal for Planning and Research of the UOC.
This prize recognises the activities carried out during the last years in our School to promote the vocation and presence of women in academic and professional surroundings. Along with the recognition to the ETSE-UV, an award for “Professional Trajectory in the Technologic Field” was collected by Anne Topping, president and co-founder of IPM Group. In addition, the Association for Computing Engineering of Catalunya (COEINF) gave a mention to Beatriz Sevilla, researcher of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya for her promising academic trajectory.
