After a bank robbery in which two people died, Ben Harper goes back to his house and hides the loot entrusting the secret to his sons. In prison, before getting executed, he shares cell with Harry Powell and, while sleeping, he talks about the money. Once outside, Powell, obsessed with getting all the loot, he goes to Harper’s town, falls in love with his widow and marries her. (FILMAFFINITY)
