Dr. Guillermo Vigueras González (PhD)
I recieved my MSc in Computer Science from the Faculty of Engineering
at the University of Valencia in 2005. Afterwards, I joined the
Department of Communications and Information Engineering
at the University of Murcia as a research assistant.
In 2008 I was awarded a Doctoral fellowship (4-years) from the University of Valencia
for my Ph.D. studies, under the supervision of Dr. Miguel Lozano
and Dr. Juan Manuel Orduña. Concurrently to my Ph.D. studies, I completed a degree in Telecommunications at the
University of Valencia in 2008. During that period I worked within the
Networks and Virtual Environments Group (GREV)
at the University of Valencia, which is part of the
ACCA Group. I completed my PhD in Computer Science at University of Valencia in 2011. Since 2009, I am a student member of the
European Network of Excellence on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation (HiPEAC). Currently, I'm an Associate Researcher within the Biomedical Engineering Department at King's College of London.

News
- PACT 2010: In September 2010 I have attended the 19th International Conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques (PACT). The venue for the event was at the historic Austrian Academy of Sciences, at Vienna, Austria.
- IPDPS 2010: In April 2010 I have attended the 24th IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium. The venue for the event was at Hotel Sheraton, at Atlanta, USA.
- Internship at INRIA: I have been granted an internship from the vicerectorate of research of the University of Valencia to continue my research for three months at INRIA Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique, under the supervision of Dr. Thierry Priol, deputy scientific director at INRIA in the area of "Networks, Systems and Services, Distributed Computing".
- Internship at UMU: I have been granted an internship to continue my research for three months at University of Murcia, under the supervision of professor José M. García, director of the Parallel Computing and Architecture Group (GACOP).
- ACACES 2009: I have been granted a fellowship from the European Network of Excellence on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation (HiPEAC) to attend in July 2009, the ACACES Summer School. The venue for the event will be at La Mola, near Barcelona, Spain.
- Internship at UCY: I have been granted an internship from the vicerectorate of research of the University of Valencia to continue my research for six months at University of Cyprus, under the supervision of professor Yiorgos Chrysanthou, director of the Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality Research Lab.
