Restoration of the general roof of the Faculty of Law
Rehabilitation
The current waterproofing will be replaced and the photovoltaic panels and their structure will be removed. In addition, the thickness of the insulating layer will be doubled and the sill will be restored.
WHY?
The reason for the restoration is water filtration. It consists of an inverted roof with a gravel surface. The existing waterproofing system is a bituminous sheet. The roof has a surface of photovoltaic panels supported by a metal structure anchored to the structure of the building.

SOLUTION
- Disassembly of the entire photovoltaic installation
- Collection of the gravel in sacks to be used later
- Removal of the perimeter screed
- Removal of thermal insulation and old sheeting
- New water collection slopes and drains
- Treatment of expansion joints and creation of a new perimeter joint
- Double bituminous sheet
- Double layer of thermal insulation
- Repair of parapets
- Installation of new, more efficient solar panels
- Planned start of work: end 2024
- Work duration: 6 months
- Completion: first half of 2025
