Research Group: Statistical Physics and Thermodynamics of Transport Processes (FET-TRANS)

Areas of interest

Ionic Transport through Functionalized Nanopores

We study theoretically and experimentally the ionic transport through surface-functionalized polymeric nanopores, with applications to Micro and Nanofluidics.

Bioelectricity of multicellular ensembles

We simulate bioelectrical phenomena in non-excitable cells, focusing on the instructive properties of spatio-temporal maps in development and regeneration.

A modeling-focused introduction to this second area of interest, which includes additional references to work made by other research groups, can be seen here.
