Streaming of the conference in the cloister of La Nau

The Aula Magna of the historic building of the Universitat de València was filled to capacity, so the technical services of La Nau Cultural Centre enabled the cloister to be used as a space to follow the conference, which was also livestreamed in English and Spanish by UVCommunication and the Audiovisual Workshop of the UV.

The conference held by Ghassan Abu-Sittah was attended by 147 people in the Aula Magna of the Universitat de València, in the historic building of La Nau Cultural Centre.

The conference was also attended by Vice-Principals for Teaching Staff (Ernest Cano), Culture and Society (Ester Alba), Lifelong Learning, Educational Transformation and Employment (Ángeles Solanes), Internationalisation and Multilingualism (Carles Padilla) and Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Life (Pilar Serra), Managing Director of UV (Juan Vicente Climent), Principal of the Rector Peset Hall of Residence of the UV (Carles Xavier López), Directors of the faculties of Economy (Francisco Muñoz Murgui), Nursing and Podiatry (Antonio Martínez Sabater) and Physiotherapy (Sofía Pérez Alenda).

There were also a total of thirty members of the UV’s Science and Human Rights Collective, led by Nadia Yahlali.

The UV's cloister, which had been set up to allow the conference to be followed on screens should the room be overcrowded, hosted twenty-four people who followed the conference translated into Spanish by the UV's Language Centre, provider of simultaneous translations.

The conference was broadcast on two different channels: in Spanish for the rest of the country, and in English for the international audience.

UVCommunication was responsible for the livestream, which was produced by the Audiovisual Workshop of the Universitat de València.

A total of 97 connections to the Spanish version and 12 connections to the English version made up an audience of more than 280 people, since in many cases the connections were made in screening rooms.

The activity was co-organised by the Universitat de València, the Office of the Principal and the UV’s Science and Human Rights Collective, together with the University Network for Palestine.

This university network organised screenings of the conference in different Spanish universities.
