The exhibition in the Manuel Broseta Square at the Tarongers Campus will be open through 3 November.

The Universitat de València is hosting the moving exhibition Existing, Feeling, and Resisting in Gaza (orig. Ser, Sentir y Resistir en Gaza), organised by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, UNRWA Valencian Community. From 23 October to 3 November, this unique exhibition will showcase the reality of Palestinian refugee women in the Gaza Strip, a territory deeply affected by conflict and adversity.

The exhibition highlights the women’s stories and experiences through a combination of visual art and personal testimonies. Artists Duaa Qishta, Irina Naji, Majdal Nateel and Malak Matar contribute their unique perspective on life in Gaza, using different forms of artistic expression that include painting and photography. Each work is proof of their strength, resistance and hope in the midst of such strenuous living conditions.

In addition to these artworks, the exhibition includes personal stories and interviews that allow visitors to learn first-hand of the struggles and dreams of refugee women. These testimonies offer a profound and humane look at the daily reality in Gaza, both highlighting the challenges and the community resilience and solidarity.

This exhibition is not only an opportunity to appreciate art, but also to better understand the complex reality Gazan women face and support their cause and struggles. The exhibition Existing, Feeling, and Resisting in Gaza invites all interested visitors to participate in this educational and emotional experience, contributing to greater global awareness and solidarity.
