Biografia
Ana Fernández-Caparrós Turina és llicenciada en Filologia Anglesa per la Universitat Complutense de Madrid. Després de rebre el 2005 una beca predoctoral de formació investigadora FPI de la Comunitat de Madrid i el Fons Social Europeu, es va doctorar el 2011 a la mateixa universitat amb una tesi amb menció europea titulada La poètica de la imaginació al teatre de Sam Shepard . Ha desenvolupat la seva activitat com a docent i investigadora a diverses universitats espanyoles i ha realitzat estades de recerca a diversos centres nord-americans i europeus: City University of New York (CUNY), Geòrgia State University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel i University of Zurich. És membre dels grups de recerca: Teatre contemporani europeu (segles XVIII-XXI): Crítica, recepció i transnacionalitat (TCE), GIUV2013-091 i Literature, Arts and Performance (LAP), GIUV2017-354. Ha escrit i publicat sobre l'obra de Samuel Beckett, Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Maria Irene Fornés, Sarah Ruhl i altres dramaturgs nord-americans i britànics en llibres especialitzats i en revistes com Studies in Theatre and Performance Contemporary Theatre Review, South Atlantic Review, Journal of Contemporary Drama in English , Atlantis o CLR. És autora del llibre El teatro de Sam Shepard en el Nueva York de los sesenta (PUV 2015); coeditora, juntament amb Natalie Gómez Handford i Stella Ramos, del volum Poéticas por venir, políticas del duelo(Verbum, 2014); editora, amb Noelia Hernando Real i Fabio L. Vericat, del número especial de Complutense Journal of English Studies “Staging the Sounds of Nation: The Poetic Soundscapes of the USA” (2015) i del número especial de Studies in the Literary Imagination titulat "21st-Century American Crises: Reflections, Representations, Transformations. Part 1" (2017).
