Biografia
El Dr. Miguel V. Andrés és Llicenciat en Física i doctor per la Universitat de València. Va realitzar un postdoc de 3 anys en la University of Surrey del Regne Unit. En 1987 torna a València i crea el Laboratori de Fibres Òptiques. La seua investigació se centra en noves fonts de llum i làsers, sensors, microcavitats òptiques i optomecánica. Ha publicat més de 300 articles, que acumulen 7000 cites, i 11 patents. Són destacables els projectes amb empreses i les seues col·laboracions amb Llatinoamèrica. Actualment és catedràtic de Física Aplicada en la Universitat de València.[Biografia, versió en valencià]

- Resumen del CV. Miguel V. Andrés, Catedrático de Física Aplicada de la Universidad de Valencia, nacido en Valencia en 1957, Licenciado y Doctor en Física por la Universidad de Valencia en 1979 y 1985, respectivamente. Entre 1984 y 1987 realizó una estancia postdoctoral en el Physics Department de la University of Surrey, Reino Unido, especializándose en fabricación de dispositivos estrechados de fibra óptica. En 1987 crea el grupo de investigación Laboratorio de Fibras Ópticas de la Universidad de Valencia cuya actividad se centra en la fabricación y modelización de fibras ópticas de cristal fotónico y dispositivos especiales de fibra óptica para su aplicación a láseres y sensores de fibra óptica, fotónica de microondas y nuevas fuentes de luz. Ha publicado más de 300 artículos de investigación, 10 patentes, y un total de más de 370 publicaciones registradas en la Web of Science (Researcher ID:M-2555-2014, ORCID: 0000-0003-0103-8644). Acumula un total de 5400 ISI citas y tiene un ISI h-factor de 36. Mantiene una colaboración especialmente activa con universidades e institutos de Iberoamérica. En el periodo 2006-2015, fue miembro del Comité de Evaluación Externo del Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica, México. En 1999, el Consejo Social de la Universidad de Valencia le concedió el Premio Cooperación Universidad-Sociedad 1999. Desde 2009, es Académico Correspondiente de la Real Academia de Ciencias de Zaragoza. En el bienio 2011-2013, fue Presidente del Comité de Optoelectrónica de la Sociedad Española de Óptica..
