Miguel Julve Olcina
Miguel Julve Olcina was born in Moncada (Valencia) in 1953. He obtained his PhD degree (with Professors Juan Faus Payá and José M. Moratal Mascarell) at the University of Valencia in 1981. Following two years of postdoctoral fellow (with Prof. O. Kahn) at the Université of Paris Sud (France), he came back to the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Valencia where he is full Professor of Inorganic Chemistry since 1992. His research activity concerns the rational design of extended magnetic systems by using the complex as ligand strategy and he is co-author of more than 350 articles in peer review scientific journals. His work has been highlighted by several covers in prestigious scientific journals and he was distinguished with the 2002 Inorganic Chemistry Award of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the 2008 Catalán-Sabatier Prize by the French Chemical Society.

Salah-Eddine
Salah-Eddine Stiriba
Salah-Eddine Stiriba was born in Marrakech, Morocco (1971). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valencia (1998). Since 2007, he holds an Assistant Professorship position. His research activities combine synthesis and modification of functional dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers. The emphasis is upon the incorporation of optical, magnetic and catalytic functions and drug functionalities into selective regions of dendritic frameworks. Special attention is also devoted to the development of new strategies to generate and stabilize metal nanoparticles with catalytic, optical and magnetic properties. Metallosupramolecular complexes oriented to building optical, electronic and magnetic hybrid devices are also within his scientific research activities.
