If it is decided to equip a classroom with a digital board, it should be kept in mind that any peripheral hardware to be installed in a classroom computer must meet a series of requirements in order to be integrated into it, which must be validated by the IT Service of the UV prior to purchase.
As a guideline, they must have drivers that support CentOS v 6.8 and v 7.4 as well as Windows 7 and 10.
'Interactive Whiteboard at Home' APP
Professor Luis Torres Otero, from the Department of Didactics of Musical, Visual and Corporal Expression, has developed a web application that allows any teacher to automatically share with his/her students all the activities carried out on the digital whiteboard in class. It should be noted that it is compatible with the Notebook software of the Smart Board digital whiteboards.
Students only have to navigate through the main page of the application to search and access all the contents in a simple way. No software needs to be installed on the computer, as all activities can be viewed in the browser.
Professors who want to use it have to install the application on their school's server, and then to share the contents they only have to access the application and upload the files created in class. The operation is really simple and the results are very satisfactory, since sharing all the activities carried out in class allows professors to take advantage of ICT in teaching and provides obvious educational benefits.
