The Council for Library Cooperation (CCB), of which university libraries form part through REBIUN as the Technical Cooperation Committee, condemns the aggression and invasion of Ukraine by Russia and expresses its solidarity with the government and people of Ukraine.
This invasion constitutes a flagrant violation of international law by Russia and we call for its immediate cessation, as well as the restoration of peace.
From the CCB, and from all the library networks and entities that make it up, we work for the respect of fundamental rights and democratic principles and values, and we call for international collaboration to preserve the bibliographic heritage and library infrastructures of Ukraine.
The Council for Library Cooperation is at the disposal of Ukrainian library institutions and professionals to offer our technical support and to collaborate in the effective exercise of the right to information.
