A Summer Program for Physics students from Spain
Germany, Mainz, 1st August to 30th September 2021
What is it?
A Summer Program for Physics students from Spain, in which they will be part of a research group at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität (JGU) in Mainz. The program will take part at the Institut für Physik, Helmholtz Institut Mainz, and Institut für Kernphysik. The main research topics include either experimental or theoretical:
- Atomic physics
- Solid state physics
- Particle physics
- Nuclear physics
Will I get paid?
Every student will be granted an amount of around 700€ per month to cover the accommodation and allowance expenses.
Where will I live?
We will help the students to find individual rooms or shared apartments. The price will be around 350€ per month, to be paid by the students.
Who can apply?
Students in the last year of the Bachelor and Master students, with a good level of English.
How do I apply?

The email must include:
•A request letter explaining your personal motivation and field of interest
- Curriculum vitae with picture,
- Academic scores file (a pdf from the university website is sufficient),
- Address, e-mail and telephone number
The participants will be announced in June 2021 via email.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will re-evaluate in end-May the realization of the summer program. Therefore, consider that the summer program may, at that point, be canceled.
