18th University-Society Awards Sessions

On 24 June 2013  the 18th University-Society Session was held at the headquarters of the University-Business Foundation, organised by the Board of Trustees of the UV and the University-Business Foundation, where the Univesitat-Societat Awards Ceremony took place.

 

On this occasion, the University-Society Awards Ceremony has been held in the framework of the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of ADEIT. One of the issues more repeated during the ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of ADEIT, was that cooperation between the University of Valencia and its business environment is essential as an engine of economic development.

Throughout the commemoration, the main achievements of these 25 years were reviewed. More than 80,000 postgraduate students, about 16,000 work placements in managed companies, 17,000 graduates guided on employment, 3.000 Leonardo da Vinci grant-holders and over 3,500 entrepreneurs advised to entrepreneurship are some of the highlights of the event.

Moreover, throughout the celebration, people with an essential role during these years will be awarded, as the ex principal Francisco Tomás, the current principal, Esteban Morcillo, the president of the Board of Trustees and ADEIT, Carlos Pascual, and the elected members of the ADEIT Trust, among which are Càmera de València, Colebeaga, Consum, Emivasa, ETRA, Feria Valencia, Bancaja Foundation, berdrola Foundation, GH Electrotermia, la Caixa, Mercadona, Pavasal, RNB, Umivale and Vossloh.

 

Attendees

In its 18th edition, the event was chair by the President of the Valencian Government, Alberto Fabra, the Principal of the UV, Esteban Morcillo; the Councillor for Economy, Máximo Buch; and the President of the Board of Trustees of the UV and the University-Business Foundation, Carlos Pascual.

Business people, students and teaching staff of the UV also attended the event.
