The discovery of neural stem cells and the formation of new neurons in the adult brain have implied the potential for repair and their use in cell therapies. Although these potential applications are anticipated as long-term consequences, determining which regulators work in coordination to provide an adequate number of stem cells in the brain is crucial for its future use in pathological conditions.
