1.A doctoral thesis can be presented at the University of Valencia as a compendium of publications, provided that the following requirements are taken into account, except in exceptional cases authorized by the Doctoral School.
- The doctoral candidate must present a minimum of three articles, already published or accepted in journals indexed in an international index such as JCR (WoS) and / or SJR (Scopus) in the case of Social Sciences, and must be the first signatory of all the jobs that he presents. Otherwise, unless in the field of knowledge of the thesis a specific agreement is used to organize the signature of the articles, it is necessary to justify its place of signature. In case that the above requirements can not be met, each academic coordination committee of the corresponding doctoral program will determine, in each case, the impact factor that the publications must have on the bibliographic indexes.
- The thesis must include a global summary of the theme, the main results and the conclusions, which justifies the original contribution of the author, written in any of the official languages, with a minimum of 4000 words.
- As an annex, a complete copy of the works published or admitted for publication must be included, clearly showing the name and affiliation of all the co-authors of the works and the complete reference of the journal in which the works have been published. or admitted to publication.
- In the latter case, a receipt of the admission and the complete reference of the journal to which they have been sent must be attached. The additional requirements that may be established for this purpose by the Doctoral School.
2. To submit the deposit application, in addition to the documents specified in the previous section, the following documents must also be submitted:
a.A letter from the director or the director of the thesis on the impact factor, or categorization of the journal, of the publications that are included in the doctoral thesis.
b.In the event that one or more works done in co-authorship are presented, a report must be submitted by the directors of the thesis, in which the participation of the doctoral student or the doctoral candidate in each article is exhaustively specified, if any. of the co-authors of any of the works presented in the doctoral thesis has used, implicitly or explicitly, these works for the realization of another doctoral thesis and, if it is the case, the justifying circumstances that the doctoral student or the doctoral student is not the first signatory of some of the works. The Academic Committee of the doctoral program in Biomedicine and Biotechnology will demand that the articles that make up the theses per compendium of publications are published in the positions in quartiles Q1 or Q2 of the seva area of connexion. Additionally, only publications that have been released to a maximum five years ago from the date of the deposit of the Doctoral Thesis will be taken into account.
