Description

This Master's Degree is mainly research-guided providing the needed training to develop work in the field of university or business research, or even official bodies devoted to research. This training is reinforced through the writing of a Master's Degree Thesis which is conducted following some of the lines that offer the research groups that participate in the Master's Degree and which recognition is well-known at a national and international level. Therefore, from a scientific and academic point of view the interest of this Master's Degree is directly related with the ongoing training that provides for the research in the public and private sectors. Additionally, from a professional point of view, the trascendence of the contribution of Physics to the technological development, and therefore to the training of technologists, is crucial in any modern society that may want to base their development in cutting-edge knowledge. In this sense it's worth mentioning that many of the research lines are connected with the economic and social environment of the Valencian Community, setting the basis for initiatives such as the creation of the Val Space Consortium (VSC) that includes the Laboratory of Materials for Space Applications, the active participation in the Science Park of the University of Valencia and the creation of spin-off companies through the institutes of research that participate in the Programme of Doctorate in Physics: the Institute of Corpuscular Physics (IFIC), the Institute for Molecular Imaging Technologies (I3M), the Institute of Material Science of the University of Valencia (ICMUV), the Institute of Research in Medical Physics (IFIMED) and the Technological Institute of Optics, Colour and Imagine (AIDO).
