
This seminar was organised by PhD Carmen Azcárraga Monzonís and PhD Pablo Quinzá Redondo, Medarb members.
The seminar “Family Mediation” was held on 18th November, funded by MINECO DER2013-44749-R project: “Mediation, Arbitration and Jurisdiction Within the Current Justice Paradigm: Integration, Glocalisation, Public Law and ODR as Challenges”, operated by PhD Silvia Barona Vilar, full professor in Procedural Law of the Universitat de València. The seminar was organised by PhD Carmen Azcárraga Monzonís and PhD Pablo Quinzá Redondo and it was the third seminar in November besides two more about Criminal Mediation and Economic Conflict Mediation.
The seminar was divided into two parts. On the first board, directed by Carmen Azcárrega, general issues about mediation were addressed, with special consideration on its application on family law. Said section of the seminar had the participation of judge Juan Mejías and professors Sonia Rodríguez and María Elena Cobas, who are PhD in Civil Law of the Universitat de València. Regarding International Private Law, PhD Pilar Diago, full professor of International Private Law of the University of Zaragoza, and PhD Patricia Orejudo de los Mozos, tenured lecturer in International Private Law of the Complutense University of Madrid, took part in the event and addressed the us of family mediation in specific scenarios, like international abduction of minors and the economic effects of marriage.
