The purpose of this call is to promote the transformation and continuous improvement of innovative teaching practice, in which students have to be protagonists and active agents committed to their teaching-learning process.

1. Digitalisation, design of materials and strategies for virtual and hybrid teaching modalities
2. Design, organization, development and assessment of teaching
3. Internationalization and dissemination of the best teaching methodologies
4. Tutorial and academic and professional guidance
5. Teaching update
6. Active methodologies for learning
7. Design of strategies to incorporate ODS to teaching
8. Actions to promote employability and entrepreneurship

It means that they will be more highly assessed projects upon granting aids

The current call presents two defined programmes:

1. Centre innovation plan programme (PIC), aimed at innovations that promote centre directions.
2. Teaching innovation projects programme (PID), aimed at innovations that come from initiative of the teaching staff. It includes three modalities of projects: NEW-PID; RENEW-PID and CONSOLIDATE-PID.

Each centre can submit only one project, which has to include all the actions considered relevant.

• Actions for a joint of subjects from the same course, within a degree (horizontally integrated).
• Actions for a joint of subjects from different courses, within the same degree (vertical integrated).
• Transversal actions, for a joint of subjects shared by two or more degrees.

In no way, PICs can include actions that already belong to some PID going on in the same academic year.

The institution is both the applicant and recipient of the aid, and has to finance it jointly with its own budget.

The centre has to contribute part of the total funding granted, at least the 25% of the aids’ total for the expenses that stem from the actions included in the application.

The expenses stemmed from the actions included in approved projects will be funded.

Expressly excluded from the funding are the following concepts:

• Purchase of inventoriable material that can be inventoried, including computers, cameras, etc.
• Rewards for the team members.
• Rewards for students. This concept will be admitted exceptionally in case of incentives related to similar competitions or activities.
• Purchase of books, videos or other material Expenses for attending s which falls within the competence of the Information and Documentation Service.
• Stationery not properly justifies for the project.
• Translation or publication expenses (with exception of the ISBN of the free materials, which can be funded).
• Meeting expenses (organization, subsistence allowances, trips) of the team.
• Expenses for attending congresses (registration, subsistence allowances, trips) of the team members not affiliated with the Universitat de València.

Provision of the grant:

The amount allocated will be available in the specific innovation key of each centre, with the economic amount contributed by the centre.

Working teams have to consist of members from the faculty executive team or the management, and of members from the applicant centres’ PDI.

The responsibility of coordinating the PIC fall on the faculty executive time, the person in charge of the innovation, or the staff PDI members to whom it is delegated.

In this programme, three project modalities are included:

1. NEW-PID: original projects for innovation and improvement of teaching quality that are being applied for the first time.
2. RENEW-PID: projects that are considered a continuation of the previous PID project. These projects must necessarily propose new objectives and improvements, as well as actions aimed at introducing and evaluating the impact on that the actions developed in the initial IDP project had on teaching.
3. CONSOLIDATE-PID: teaching innovation projects instituted for at least 4 academic years, developed by consolidated working groups (with broad and widely-recognised joint experience), which have generated benchmark teaching strategies with a proven positive impact on the teaching quality.

If there are any doubts about the project modality that you want to request, evaluation rubrics can be used as a guide to check which modality best fits the project you want to submit.

Teaching innovation projects have to consist of a minimum of three members of the PDI, doctor research staff and/or research staff in training, with teaching duties at the UV.

Students and members of the UV’s PAS, teachers from other educational levels and members of the staff of the Research Institutes may also belong to the team. Of course, provided that, together, they do not exceed 40% of the total number of the team members. PDI Members from other universities can join the team, without any limit.

Associate lecturers, as PDI, can coordinate and participate as a member of a team in teaching innovation projects.

PDI members and/or doctor research staff with teaching duties of the UV.

Yes. When renewing a project, it can be requested in the name of a different coordinator from the previous year.

Teams can have a maximum of two coordinators, PDI members or doctor research staff of the UV.

At the most, a PDI member of form the doctor research staff can coordinate one teaching innovation project and participate in a maximum of two teaching innovation project, from any modality. That is, they can:

• a) coordinate a project and participate in another one;
• b) coordinate no project and participate in two.

• In ENTREU’s application form, in the “Cocoordinador” tab.
• In the application report, section "A" must be duplicated in order to include the details of the other coordinator.
• In the team list in Excel.

Yes. For duly justified reasons, the coordinator will have to fill in the corresponding form (available on the SFPIE website) and send it to udie@uv.es, indicating, in the concept: changes in the teaching innovation project team, until 31st October.

The maximum amount that can be requested for each project cannot exceed €2,000.

The grants are intended to cover expenses directly linked to the activity for which they have been given and can be used for the following purposes:

• Non-inventoriable material specific to the realisation of the project, provided that it is duly justified and detailed.
• Software necessary for the realisation of the project, provided that it is duly justified and detailed.
• Attendance at congresses and conferences on educational innovation in order to present a communication, a paper, a poster or equivalent, about the content of the corresponding educational innovation project. A maximum of 500 euros can be requested for this concept. Preference will be given to online congresses.
• Organization of conferences on teaching innovation. These conferences will have to be justified according to the following criteria:
  • a) Have an specific character, linked to one or more related areas of knowledge.
  • b) Have a minimum attendance of 50 people.
  • c) Be open to the participation of teaching staff from other universities (or other educational levels, if the chance arises).
  • d) Spread the word widely.

Expressly excluded from the funding are the following sections:

The financial amount allocated to each project depends on the overall score obtained according to the criteria set out in point 4.2 of the call for proposals.

Not necessarily. If the new proposal is not related to the project you are currently developing, you have to apply for the NOU-PID modality. If you are proposing new actions and/or specific objectives to complete the current project, then the modality to apply for is RENOVA-PID.

Although most of the members of the team must have participated jointly in the original project, modifications in the composition of the team will be admitted, because it is common that there are departures and/or new teachers join the project.

Yes, you can use a different title from the previous year.

Yes, this type of project is designed to give continuity to existing projects (NOU-PID and RENOVA-PID) by introducing new objectives and/or actions.

It depends. To apply for a CONSOLIDA-PID, projects from previous years must constitute a single "project" with its own entity and with a development that has lasted for a minimum of four academic years.

It is not essential that the same name and/or the same project coordinator have been maintained during the previous academic years, but the general objective and the main lines of action must have been maintained.

Likewise, the majority of the team members must have participated jointly during all the academic years in which the project has been developed.

It depends on the purpose of the project.

If the main purpose is to advance in the development of a specific project by including new objectives and/or actions, the most appropriate option is the RENOVA-PID modality. If the aim is to consolidate actions that have already been developed in previous calls and have proven to have a positive impact on teaching, the CONSOLIDA-PID modality is the most appropriate option.

In this call there are no differences in the financial and/or technical support that the three RDP modalities can apply for, so from this point of view one project modality has no advantage over the others.

The main difference between RENOVA and CONSOLIDA lies in the purpose of the project (see previous question). The CONSOLIDA-PID modality aims to consolidate and give institutional recognition to those actions that have been developed by teams with extensive experience in teaching innovation and that have had a positive impact on teaching.

On the other hand, the evaluation criteria for the two modalities (Annex: Rubric) are slightly different. In criterion 1 (quality of the proposal), for the CONSOLIDA-PID the emphasis is placed on the results obtained and the impact of the project on the learning process, whereas in the case of the RENOVA-PID the inclusion of new objectives and actions is taken into account. See the evaluation rubrics for more details.

If the application does not meet all of the above conditions, the applicant will be required to amend the deficiency or submit the required documents within ten working days of the end of the application submission period.

The Vice-rectorate for Employment and Training Programmes will issue the Provisional Resolution on the grants awarded within a maximum period of three months from the day after the deadline for submitting applications.

The communication of the granting of the aid will be made by means of the Provisional Resolution.

Once the Final Resolution of the awarded grants is published, a notification will be sent at the same time to the coordinator of the project, specifying the concepts for which the funding has been granted.

The coordinator will sign this document and, as one of his/her commitments, will manage the financial allocation for the purpose for which it has been granted, and will justify it in the final report.

It will be published in the Official Bulletin Board of the Universitat de València     and will be displayed on the website of the Permanent Training and Educational Innovation Service (http://www.uv.es/sfpie).

The publication of the provisional resolution in the Official Bulletin Board of the Universitat de València will have notification effects, according to the article 45 of the Law 39/2015, of 1 October, of the common administrative procedure of the public administrations.

Yes. The deadline for submitting claims against the provisional resolution will be fifteen working days, counting from the day after the publication on the Official Bulletin Board of the Universitat de València, and will serve both for the presentation of claims and to complete the missing documentation.

Claims and amendments presented will be accepted or denied with an express resolution of the Vice-Rector for Employment and Training Programmes, by which the Final Resolution on the grants awarded will be  declared approved and published on the Official Bulletin Board of the Universitat de València. This resolution wil be displayed on the website of the Fifelong Learning and Educational Innovate Service (http://www.uv.es/sfpie).

Against the final resolution, which puts an end to the administrative process, you can lodge an appeal for reconsideration with the Vice-Rector for Employment and Training Programmes within a period of one month from the day after publication, or you can lodge a contentious-administrative appeal directly with the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, within two months from the day after publication.

Technical support will be provided by the Audiovisual Workshop of the Universitat de València (TAU).

The type of support required must be indicated in the application form, and it must necessarily comply with the types of videos specified in Annex 5. Only in very justified cases it will be allowed to elaborate videos that do not fit in this catalogue.

The coordinators of an innovation project in any of the modalities assume the following commitments:

• To submit the application and the required documentation.
• To carry out the project in accordance with the approved application.
• To ensure the smooth running of the working team and to notify any possible new members and departures within the established deadline.
• Facilitate the monitoring of the project and the execution of the objectives.
• Manage the financial allocation for the purpose for which it has been granted and justify it in the final report, in the corresponding official document.
• Request the approval of the *SFPIE to make any changes to the approved budget.
• Present the results obtained in the projects and in the innovation conferences organised for this purpose.
• Provide a final report of the results of the project according to the model available through the ENTREU website.

Failure to submit the final report within the established deadline and in the established form will result in the automatic cancellation of the innovation project, as well as future penalties in subsequent calls and the possible reimbursement of the aid granted.

No. In addition, projects that do not properly justify the expenses incurred may be penalised in subsequent calls for proposals by not being allocated funding. In addition, it will be possible to request the reimbursement of the aid granted.

Only the selected projects that obtain a positive evaluation, once the economic and academic justifications (report) have been submitted.

No innovative activity will be certified until the project is completed and duly justified.

No. The certificates of all the members of each project will be sent from the Lifelong Learning and Educational Innovation Service to the coordinator.

You must state the institutional affiliation to the Universitat de València and its link to the present call of the Vice-rectorate for Employment and Training Programmes, indicating the project code.

The materials produced in the innovation project have to be published in an open repository, with the intellectual property conditions specified in the call for proposals.
