Types of licenses

Protecting your works with a Creative Commons license does not mean that the works lose their copyright. On the contrary, this is a means of exercising their copyright and being able to offer certain rights to third parties under specific conditions. What conditions? This website lets you choose or group the conditions from the following list. There are a total of six Creative Commons licenses to choose from:

	Conditions
	Attribution: You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor.
	Noncommercial: The work may not be used for commercial purposes.
	No Derivative Works: No derivative works may be created.
	Share Alike: Derivative works may be created and distributed only under the same licenses as the original work.

With these four conditions combined, you can generate six licenses to choose from:

	Creative Commons Licenses
	Attribution (by): You can use the work for commercial purposes, create derivative works and distribute them without restrictions
	Attribution-NonCommercial (by-nc): Derivative works are allowed but not for commercial purposes. The original work may not be used for commercial purposes
	Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (by-nc-sa): The original work and deritative works may not be used for commercial purposes. Derivative works may be distributed only under the same licenses as the original work
	Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (by-nc-nd): Using the original work for commercial purposes is not allowed. No derivative works may be created
	Attribution-ShareAlike (by-sa): Using the original work and derivative works for commercial purposes is allowed, and they may be distributed only under the same licenses as the original work.
	Attribution-NoDerivs (by-nd): Using the original work for commercial purposes is allowed, but no derivative works may be created
