Michel-Louis Rouquette, was Professor of social and environmental psychology at the University Paris Descartes since 2003. Previously he was professor at the 'UniversitY de Paris VIII from 1998 until 2003 and professor of cognitive and expérimental at the university de Montpellier (since1987)

Michel-Louis Rouquette has developed the social thinking theory. This theory presents the link between social representation and the different instances of social thinking, namely ideology, attitudes and opinions. He also introduced the concept of “nexus” that focus on the affective aspect of social representations. Finally within the social thinking framework, Michel-Louis Rouquette is also interested in methodological issues in social representation studies. In this line work, he has developed a new methodology: the SCB (basic cognitive schemes).
Michel-Louis Rouquette was a participant of the first Mundus WOP Workshop held in Barcelona.
