Some members of the experienced teaching staff of the Department of Computing of the Universitat de València participates in a significat number of master’s degrees of the Universitat de València. The Master’s Degree in Services and Web Applications Engineering is one of them, but not the only one. Here we speak about some of them:

It intends to train master’s degree graduates with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical skills in Bioinformatics, who are able to solve specific problems in academic, professional and clinical environments, and who can develop new computational strategies and computer systems that cover the needs of the current bioinformatics projects of large-scale analysis.
The master’s degree will train experts with knowledge and skills oriented to the development of new computational strategies and computer systems useful for biomedical or biotechnological research.
Apart from allowing the incorporation to research groups and departments of public and private organisations, the acquired skills will also enable the beginning of a new professional career in companies in the biomedical and biotechnological sectors that require the usage of bioinformatics by specialists.
The Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering by the Universitat de València (MIT-UV) is the first Official Professional Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.

It is a professional master’s degree that enables the students to perform the profession of Telecommunications Engineers (it substitutes the previous engineering degree that lasted 5 years).
The achievement of the master’s degree gives direct access to the doctoral programmes in the field of the ICTs.
As you can see, the Master’s Degree in Services and Web Applications Engineering is not the only master’s degree where Department of Computing participates, but according to Juan Gutiérrez, Director of the ISAW Master’s degree, is the one wich more importance gives to the informatic:
ISAW is the master’s degree with more computing contents, which is a decisive factor when choosing a postgraduate programme since a solid base in these technologies prepares us for future changes”.
All these master’s degree constitute a large offer od postgraduate programmes by the Universitat de València guaranteeing the training of specialists in an important field as are the ITs.
