Direct awarding of grants to public universities for the reassessment of the Spanish university system. This Royal DecreeLaw has through which a nominative subsidy of the amount of €15,603,711.- of the Budget of the Ministry of Universities, distributed in three annuities with an amount of € 5,201,237.-per annuity.
The Royal Decree-Law 289/2021 of 20 April, (BOE of 22 April 2021) regulates the direct awarding of grants to public universities for the reassessment of the Spanish university system. This Royal DecreeLaw has through which a nominative subsidy of the amount of €15,603,711.- of the Budget of the Ministry of Universities, distributed in three annuities with an amount of € 5,201,237.-per annuity,is granted to the University of Valencia, which must be allocated to the call for the awarding of a minimum of 109 grants in the modalities provided in the aforementioned Royal Decree-Law and call for the awarding of grants:
a) Margarita Salas grants for the training of young doctors.
b) Grants for the requalification of civil servant or contract university teaching staff.
c) María Zambrano grants to attract international talent.
These grants are part of the European Recovery Instrument, set out in component 21 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan: "Modernisation and digitalisation of the education system". Specifically, and as far as investments are concerned, they aim, on the one hand, for the requalification of the Spanish university system and, on the other, for its modernisation and digitalisation.
