Objectives:

The objective of the lectures planned for next 7, 8 and 9 March 2011 is to promote the innovator and entrepreneurial talent among young researchers in the state level. At the same time, lectures also pretend to address fundamental questions to the development of the research career, such as the elaboration of a scientific curriculum, the necessary skills to the creation of companies in that sector or the scientific communication. Thus, the Chair for Scientific Dissemination wants to contribute to the encouragement of the scientific degree studies, the self-employment and the transfer of knowledge to society through de dissemination and also with the creation of spin-offs. This Seminar of Innovation in the Investigation has the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology of the Science and Innovation Ministry and the CAM, besides, the support of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the collaboration of several institutions like the Federación Española de Jóvenes Investigadores (Young Investigators Spanish Federation).

Investigation as a profession.

  • Opening session. Vice-principal of Investigation of the Universitat de València, Pedro Carrasco; Director of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT)  of the Science and Innovation Ministry, Lourdes Arana. From 9.30 a.m. to 10.15 a.m.
  • Opening lecture. ‘Reptes de la carrera investigadora en el marc del Campus d’Excel·lència Internacional VLC/Campus’ (Challenges of the investigation carrer in the frame of the International Campus of Excellence VLC/Campues). José Pío Beltrán, Delegate in the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) of the Valencian Country. From 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
