The Faculty of Chemistry was founded in 1977 after the old Faculty of Sciences (at the Avenida Blasco Ibáñez) split up into four.
With the move to the new Burjassot Campus in 1978, this Centre was able to have its own buildings and facilities.
The teaching and research activity carried out there involves the use and handling of a large number of chemical products (acids, reagents, solvents, etc.)
That is why, as per petition from the people in charge of the Faculty, the UV promoted the construction of a free-standing building (close to the teaching and researching facilities), avoiding the accumulation of chemical products without proper safety measures.
The new building to be constructed, built to store the chemical products from the Faculty of Chemistry laboratories, is isolated from the other buildings and far from the plot limits. It has a cubical appearance and only one floor. With a total height of 4.96 m and 83.98 m² of surface area.
In addition to the building, the project includes the construction of an access to Block F (through ramp and stairs) as well as the allocation of the necessary furniture for its operation (fume cupboard, safety cabinets, shelving, etc.).
- Pending Municipal Environmental Licence and registration of the APQ installation in industry.
