October 20, 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the collapse of the Tous dam, a catastrophic event caused by an exceptional atmospheric situation, which caused numerous deaths and incalculable economic losses in the Ribera Alta and Ribera Baixa regions.

On the occasion of this event, the dean's team of the Faculty of Geography and History-UV, the UV Map Library and the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation have considered it appropriate to organize a seminar, exhibition and gathering that serves to remember the fateful events, with a focus on academic as well as informative.
