What are they?
A short duration studies programme or blended intensive programmes (BIPs) using innovative teaching methods. It combines short stays (5 days) in a university with a virutal component.
The virtual component can be done before, during or after the stay.
Mobility combined with short duration can be the first step for students undecisive on studying abroad. It offers the opportunity to take advantage out of relations and experience to create a new more inclusive mobility format. It aims to reach all kinds of studies from any origin and study field.
Who organises it?
A consortium of 3 universities from three different european countried within the Erasmus+ programme. One organising university and other participants:
- The organising university is in charge of the virtual part and receiving students.
- Participating universities send their students.
Each organising university contacts other consortium member universities tu disseminate the programme among students BIPs grants are aimed for.
The BIPs receiveing Erasmus students from Universitat de València, our institution is a participating university.
Modalities
Mobilities must occur within one of these two activities:
- Attendance to a short duration of BIP Erasmus mobility, with an organisation participating UV. An Erasmus agreement will be made with the organising university for sending the students.
- Attendance to a short duration of BIP or Blended Intensive Mobility (BIM), where the receiving university is one of the UV associate universities within the FORTHEM European alliance project.
Who can apply for the grant?
Degree and Doctorate Programme students of Universitat de València who meet the BIP requirements with approval of their responsible professor in Unbiversitat de València.
There isn't a list of BIP offers.
Each BIP has an academic programme from a determinate field of study.
Organising university invited other universities to select them through this field's professors.
BIP participation proposals are sent to determinate professors throughout the year. These professors will be the contact and responsible to manage participating students. Degree and doctoral Programme mobility coordinators can also be in charge of this management.
ECTS Recognition
Participating in BIP grants 3 ECTS credits for degree students. Students must provide a certificate of BIP attendance in the secretary of their centre of origin. This certificate is issued by the organising university.
As for doctorate Programme students, these 3 ECTS credits will not be recognised for their files.
When do stays take place?
Eramus BIPs stays for the 2026-2027 academic year take place between 1 August 2026 and 15 July 2027- This includes in person studies and the virtual component.
