Valencia, Spanish Capital of the Social Economy 2024, will host on 26 and 27 September the ‘Congress on the Promotion of the Social Economy. Fiscal and Public Policy Instruments', organised by CIRIEC-Spain together with IUDESCOOP-Universitat de València (UV) and CEGEA-Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). This is an extraordinary congress in the CIRIEC calendar, the general theme of which will be ‘Public administration and the social economy: allies for inclusive prosperity’.

Around 300 people are expected to take part, including social economy researchers, legal experts, representatives of public administrations and the co-operative and social economy sector. The deadline for submitting proposals for papers is now closed, with nearly 100 proposals received.

The Congress has the support of the Confederation of Cooperatives of the Valencian Community (Concoval), the Third Sector Platform of the Valencian Community and the ENUIES Network of University Research Institutes and Centres in the Social Economy.
