Interwar Health Network
Description:

European Network «Rural Health in Europe. Comparative Perspective»
Description:
The Network coordinates researches on public health, health care organization and health campaigns in the European countryside. It has organised three international conferences and two sessions in European conferences. In addition to this, the European Network has participated in conferences held in Canada and it has published two monographs. It has received financial support from the three involved universities, the National Research Council of Norway and the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain.

COMIC project (Committee of Scientific Instruments), Catalan Society for the History of Science and Technology
Description:
Science is a fundamental part of our cultural heritage which must be studied and preserved. This project was created to promote the conservation and study of the extraordinary scientific heritage preserved in many institutions of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Country. The Committee of Scientific Instruments has been created within the Catalan Society for the History of Science and Technology with the aim of coordinating the efforts of many people in this direction and, at the same time, providing tools and electronic resources to help in the task of preservation and study of the material culture of science. The aims of the project are the development of computer tools for the preparation of a collective catalogue of the material culture of science, intended to coordinate ongoing projects; offering advice and support for new cataloguing projects; and helping to disseminate the collected information and the status of projects, all for the purpose of ensuring the preservation and further museological and educational use of scientific instruments.

Thematic network «Language and Science»
Description:
The thematic network «Language and Science» coordinates different Spanish and European groups, who from two different fields, philology and history of science, deal with the study of language of science and technology. The thematic network (HUM2006-26465-E/FISO and HUM2007-30656-E/FILO) can facilitate the exchange between the different groups of philology and history of science concerned with the language of science and technology, improving their coordination, and it may be helpful for establishing the foundations of broader and interdisciplinary groups to face the challenges of the European Research Area.

STEP Group. Science and Technology in the European Periphery (Ciencia y Tecnología en la Periferia Europea)
Description:
It is an international group of historians of science and technology. Its fundamental object to study is the processes of the flow of knowledge in Europe between the 16th and 19th centuries. It was founded on May 1999 in Barcelona and is composed of researchers from Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

Orfila Project
Description:
The «Orfila» project aims to provide studies and editions of sources related to the life and work of Mateu Orfila (1787-1853). Born in Mahon (Menorca), Orfila studied in Valencia, Barcelona and Paris. He spent most of his career in the French capital until he became dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Paris and one of the most important toxicologists of his time. In March 2004, an international conference was held in Mahon which was the starting point of a collective book with studies of several authors and countries. A book dedicated to the history of toxicology is also being prepared as well as an edition of Orfila correspondence. Likewise, and electronic edition of Orfila major works has been made, along with a chronology of his life, an exhaustive list of his publications and a selected bibliography of publications about his life and work.

Disability History Group
Description:
Its purpose is the study of disability from an interdisciplinary perspective and performs historical analysis both of individuals and groups or institutions related to the topic. Also, its field of study, including research, teaching and theorising is the ways in which disability has been used to legitimize regulations, social relations, inequality and forms of oppression.
