Description

ARENA II is a WEB-technology based system for comprehensive traffic accidents management. It substitutes the ARENA I system implemented in 2005 and improves the whole management process, from road data gathering to statistical data exploitation and official reports preparation.
ARENA II has mechanisms for real time communication of serious accidents. It helps locating traffic accidents by using geolocalization systems, including GPS coordinates, and photographies may also be added to accidents reports.
Different users’ profiles may also be included in ARENA in such a way that it is possible to specify the information available for each profile and to register the users’ accesses to the system.
ARENA has validation, consolidation and information security systems. It is based on the latest WEB technologies and architectures, which helps in-situ data notification by using tablets and laptops.
It is the current system used in Spain, including Dirección General de Tráfico and some town halls. It has over 5,000 users.
MARKETING: The ARENA system is marketed under the custom-made application methodology, which is then adapted to the characteristics of the traffic accidents management process of the country and to the existing regulations in the area.
