The 4th Xavier Gómez i Font Prize for the linguistic quality of Master's Degrees and Degree Papers in Valencian and English is now open and is aimed to promote the appropriate use of Valencian and English in students' academic work, to encourage the academic use of Valencian and to stimulate the use of English as a tool for the internationalisation of the University.

(Alfondeguilla 1962 - Valencia 2009)

A linguist and professor at the Universitat de València, he distinguished himself by actively defending the social use of Valencian and the values of multilingualism. The University pays a simple tribute to him by dedicating these awards to his memory.
