This conference addresses the behaviours, actions and politics of the Franco regime regarding the persecuted Jews of the Nazi Europe. The history linking Spain with the Holocaust is complex and full of subtleties which have given way to myths that are still believed nowadays. Was Franco a Nazi collaborator or a saviour of Jews? This conference addresses both sides of the Franco regime, history and memory, in regards to the Jew situation and points out as well the echoes of this topic in the political debates of the Spanish recent past.
