The Universitat de València will lead the project AI-SECRETT, a new initiative destined to increase the advanced digital abilities and innovation centred in the human being through Artificial Intelligence (AI). The professor of Applied Economics and director of the Econcult, Pau Rausell, is the scientific coordinator of the project in the Universitat de València.

With 7,2 million euros of co-funding inside the framework of the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL-2024-ADVANCED-DIGITAL-07) AI-SECRETT is a project of 4 years designed to create a new generation of professionals with digital abilities able to impulse the triple digital, ecological and social transition of Europe.

Directed by the Universitat de València (Spain), the AI-SECRETT consortium reunites 23 partners from 12 countries from all Europe, that covers universities, research centres, SMEs, authorities from the public sector and cultural organisations.

“AISECRETT pretends to train a new generation of professionals so they can use the Artificial Intelligence to improve their creative abilities and put them into work to follow the triple European transition; digital, ambient and social”, explains the professor Pau Rausell, scientific coordinator of the project in the Universitat de València.

The AI-SECRETT consortium is a diverse and interdisciplinary network of European partners -AISECRETT reunites 23 partners from 12 countries from all Europe- that combines academic experience with practical knowledge from the private sector, cultural  institutions and regional governments, among which the Valencian Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Occupation of the Government of the Valencian Community is included.

Other partners are from Italy, Germany, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Portugal, France, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and the United Kingdom. AI-SECRETT is in a unique position to generate a wide and cross-border impact and stablishing a new standard for the education in AI in Europe.

AI-SECRETT contributes directly to follow the Goals of the Digital Decade, whose aspiration is to achieve 20 million specialists in TIC in 2030, guaranteeing at the same time the balance between gender and digital inclusion. The proposal also aligns with the European Green Deal and New European Bauhaus.

The new project includes the teaching of two annual editions of a master's degree programme in line about AI for creativity in support of the triple digital transition (digital, ecologic and social) from seven vertical industries of the EU until 2030 and so on. The training model has a modular structure based on micro-credentials and will also promote extracurricular practical activities, like summer and winter schools, networking events, internships and opportunities of mentoring.

The project also pretends to reinforce and consolidate a paneuropean network (named AISTEAM) about the creative use of the AI and that will be lead by Valencian Government and that will conform a learning community that will act as installation of improvement of shared knowledge and an innovation generation platform. The centre will be located virtually in the Government of the Valencian Community and will count with the tactic support of the Lisboan Council, which counts with a wide experience and knowledge in this area.

The team of the Universitat de València is conformed by researchers and teaching staff of Economics departments, but also of Psychology, Digital Humanities, Communication or Electronic Engineering, among others.
