The Gandia International Centre hosts the seventh edition of the Winter School Bernhard Wilpert

From this Monday 17 February until 1 March, 50 students from 21 countries participate in the face-to-face teaching stage of the Winter School Bernhard Wilpert, organised by the Master Erasmus Mundus WOP-P, which takes place at the Gandia Internationa Centre (CIG-UV). This Master is taught by the consortium of five European universities, including the University of Valencia, with the collaboration of two non-European partner universities.

The teaching team is composed by renowned researchers, academics and professionals including Robert Roe (U. Maastricht, NL and president of the European Federation of Psychology Associations), Rob Briner (University of Bath, UK), David Guest (Kings College de Londres, UK), Neil Anderson (Brunel University, UK), Dirk Steiner (Universitat de Nice), Eric Andriessen (Universitat de Delft) and Fred Zijsltra (Universitat de Maastricht).

The main aim of this Winter School is the development of professional competences (implying the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes) for the design of interventions in the field of organisational development and human resources, in an international context and with an approach which combines the global and local perspectives. The training in this Joint Intensive Learning Unit of the Master Erasmus Mundus en WOP-P has three stages: first, working in virtual teams composed of members from several universities and countries; the second stage has a face-to-face character in an internship regime, and is located at the Gandia International Centre; and the third gathers the final integration work, carried out online with the support of the virtual classroom of the University of Valencia.

This Master is taught by the consortium of five European universities (Barcelona, Bologna, Coimbra, Paris-Descartes and Valencia) with the collaboration of two non-European partner universities (University of Brasilia, Brazil, and the University of Guelph, Canada). With regard to coordination, it is in charge of the IDOCAL Research Institute and the University of Valencia (www.uv.es/idocal) José M. Peiró, Isabel Rodríguez, Vicente Martínez-Tur, Carolina Moliner i Esther Gracia, and, furthermore, Vincent Rogard, of the University París-Descartes, and Salvatore Zappalà, of the University of Bolonya.

Specifically, the students come from Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Moldova, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Venezuela, England and Spain. There are also students from the University of Baltimore, Maryland (USA).
