Elvira Pomares, student of the European Master on Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (WOP-P, Erasmus Mundus), has obtained one of the grants offered by the Generalitat Valenciana (Spain) for the training of Research Staff.
On 10th of June, she and her Master's and PhD tutor, Isabel Rodriguez, attended a ceremony in the Conselleria d'Educació in Valencia (Spain) where the grants certificates were delivered to the scholarship holders.
With this grant, Elvira Pomares has joined the UIPOT, the research team on WOP-P at the University of Valencia, in the project "Work stress, opportunity or threat?. A study of stress at workplace and individual and collective coping". This project is being directed by Isabel Rodríguez and financed by the Conselleria d'Empresa, Universitat i Ciència.
During the next two years Elvira Pomares will work on a PhD thesis about work stress approached from the Positive organizational Psychology perspective. This new approach provides new energy to this field of research, and encourages new hopes to create and keep more positive and healthier work places.
