Contributed papers:
We invite submissions (in spanish, catalan or english) to the following sections:
A. Logic, history and philosophy of logic.
B. Philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology.
C. Philosophy and methodology of science.
D. History of science.
E. Science, technology and society.

 - Deadline for the admission of abstracts (1.000 words maximum, Times New Roman 12, double-spaced, in Word or RTF): May 30th 2009. Abstracts should be submitted by email to:

To facilitate blind refereeing by a scientific committee, submissions must include two separate documents: 1) the abstract, without the author name(s), together with the title of the contribution and the section to which it belongs; 2) a document with the title and section, author name(s), centre or institution, postal address and email.

- Acceptance of the paper will be notified before June 30th 2009.

- Deadline for the submission of the final version of accepted papers (in order to be published in the proceedings): September 15th 2009 (2.000 words maximum, Times New Roman 12, double-spaced, in Word).

- The allocated time for delivering contributed papers at the conference will be 30 minutes, including
 discussion.

 

Round tables and symposia:

Conference organizers may also accept round tables and symposia to be included in the program. Proposals concerning these contributions will be submitted to the organizing committee before May 30th 2009. They must include the title of the proposal and the name of the person in charge. Acceptance will be notified before June 30th 2006. Proponents of these events will take care of their organization and funding. Proposals of round tables and symposia will be submitted by email to the above e-mail addresses. In order to be published in the proceedings, papers included in round tables and symposia should be refeered in the same way as the remaining contributed papers. Organizers of those events should decide about submitting the papers to blind refeering.

 

Financial support for young researchers.

 The SLFMCE will provide financial support for the three best contributions submitted by young researchers. Candidates must fulfil the conditions listed below:

(a) to be a master student or a PhD (doctoral dissertation read after the 30th of may, 2006)

(b) to be a member of the SLMFCE when the contribution is submitted to the organizing committee

(c) to get the highest rank for the submitted contribution at the blind process of refereeing
 

Funds are intended to cover the registration fee, travel and accommodation expenses (maximum 500€)

 If there were more than three candidates who fulfil the aforementioned conditions, the organizing committee could decide about sharing the total amount (1.500 €) among them.
