The training sessions for coaches of the Basketball Chairo f L'Alqueria del Basket, organized together with the Universitat de València and the support of Caixabank, are more active than ever. The month of May arrives with two new clinics, one with the coach and assistant of the Valencia Basket women's team Rubén Burgos and Santi Pérez and another one with the strength and conditioning coach Arturo Ortiz.
Next Wednesday May 12 at 20:00h will take place the session of Burgos and Pérez and on Wednesday May 26 also at 20:00h will be held the training starring Ortiz.
Both can be followed both in person at L'Alqueria del Basket -if the health situation allows it- and online, one of the novelties of this year's program. It can be watched live and recorded. Those coaches who want to validate the hours with the FBCV and FEB courses must watch it live online or in person. Rubén Burgos and Santi Pérez will share on the 12th with the coaches present their knowledge on: "Game Preparation. Proposal of week and exercises". For his part, Arturo Ortiz, on the 26th will illustrate the coaches with a "Model of Integrated Physical Preparation in Basketball".
Rubén Burgos and Santi Pérez are head coach and assistant coach, respectively, of the Valencia Basket women's team. Both are in their fourth season in the coaching staff, with which they have achieved several milestones. In the 2017/18 year they promoted the team from LF2 to LF Endesa. In their first season in the top flight Valencia Basket was among the top four teams in the competition. This year, the taronja squad is going for its third final of the season, having lifted the EuroCup Women title in April, the first in the history of the club's women's section.
Arturo Ortiz has a degree in Physical Education from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He is currently the national record holder in the high jump, in addition to having been an Olympian on three occasions. In basketball he has worked with players such as Jaime Fernandez, Xabi Lopez Arostegui, Toko Shengelia, Daniel Clark or Ilimane Diop. He was also high jump coach of the CAR of Madrid from 2004-2016 and has been physical trainer of Jesús Carballo, Virginia Ruano, Gala León, María Jiménez, David Antona and the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. The participation in the talks, have this year as a novelty with the certification of the University of Valencia.
On the other hand, it continues to have the support of the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community and the activity will be valid to compute their hours as practices of the coaching courses of the FBCV and FEB.
Registration and payment
Registration for the training sessions is now open and costs 12€ each. In case of attending both, the total price is 20€. Payment must be made through the Chair's website at this link: https://esdeveniments.uv.es/. The capacity will be limited, so the available places may be sold out before the end of the registration period.

For several years now, the work of Caixabank in promoting the training of coaches in Valencia Basket has been decisive, providing funds for the continuous training of our coaches through various initiatives.
The open training days will have again this year with the support of the entity, which will make it possible once again that the best speakers share experience with all registered.
