
The Social Council of the Universitat de València will recognise this Thursday, 27 January, the best practices of collaboration between the university and society. It will do so in the 25th edition of the University-Society Awards that will be presented at the headquarters of the ADEIT Foundation.
"This is the most important meeting between the University, the Administration and the agents that make up civil society," said the president of the Social Council, María Emilia Adán.
This year, the winners were: Dacsa (University-Business Collaboration Award); the entrepreneur and researcher Damià Tormo (Alumni Plus "Insigne UV" Award); the Cell Physiopathology Unit of the Universitat de València (Innovation Award), the Law professor Alicia Armengot (Teaching Excellence Award) and the new public service channel of the Universitat de València, XatUV (Digital Humanism Award).
The event will be attended by the Principal of the Universitat de València, María Vicenta Mestre, the President of the Social Council and ADEIT, María Emilia Adán, and the Councillor for Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society, Carolina Pascual.
More than one hundred companies and people awarded
In these 25 editions of the awards, the Social Council has awarded more than a hundred people, entities, companies and organisations that have stood out especially for their work to bring the Universitat de València closer to its cultural, professional, economic and social environment.
