The UV Board of Trustees has open the period to take part in the Universidad-Sociedad Awards (Premios Universidad-Sociedad), which this year celebrates the 10th edition. The work of all agents related to the organization universidad-sociedad is recognized through these awards, from both the university level and the business world.

The current edition has four modalities: Investigación y Desarrollo (Research and Development), Trayectoria de colaboración Universitat de Valencia-Sociedad (UV- Society Partnership History), Alumni Plus and Excelencia Docente (Teaching Excellence) in order to ensure the work of professors, researchers, students, enterprises and institutions that, through their work, help strengthen and make the relationship between the university community and its socio-economic environment more fruitful.

The category Investigación y Desarrollo will recognize those actions and partnership projects in I+D (R&D) between UV groups and teams and enterprises and institutions from which the establishment of a relation of partnership model emerge.

On the other hand, the Trayectoria de colaboración Universitat de Valencia-Sociedad category seeks to value the work of enterprises and institutions which have developed exemplary development partnership programmes with the UV in a different field from the I+D.

The main novelty of this 19th Edition is the creation of the category Alumni Plus, intended to recognize students’ contributions of innovative ideas and projects within the partnership between Universidad-Sociedad. Five students will be accepted in this area, one for each one of these areas: Health, Humanities, Social Sciences, Education Sciences and Basic and Technical Sciences. Within those areas a student will be selected as the “Alumno Excelente de la Universitat de València” Excellent Student of the UV), and he will be given 1.000 euros.

Moreover, within the category Alumni Plus and on the basis of a proposal from the jury, the professional, academic or business excellence of any former UV will be recognized.

Finally, the Board of Trustees Awards Excelencia Docente of the UV and the Valencian Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Valencian government, are aimed to recognize the teaching work of UV professors.
