Other courses and seminars
Since 1996 the Marine Unidad de Zoología Marina organizes
the European Seminars on Marine Mammals: Biology and Conservation
held biannually at the Universidad
Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in Valencia.
The seminars are given by leading European specialists in a wide range of topics
(Reproduction, Food Habits, Genetics, Toxicology, Pathology, Parasitology, Fieldwork
Techniques, Populations, Protected Areas, Legal Aspects, etc.) and have attracted
in the past editions students from most European countries, as well as students
from Africa, Asia and the Americas.
