Lorena Martínez Perea is a 1^st year student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science of ETSE-UV. She chose the Universitat de València because it was close and the timetables were flexible. I chose this degree because it was a new concept that mixed statistics and computing. Right now I can say that studying the Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science has been the best choice I have made in my life. It has been a lot better than what I had expected.

“Independently of the future that awaits us at the end of the degree, the amount of things that we have learned in a single year is admirable. I like the fact that in the practices and in some classes, real problems have been dealt with. I also like that, although we have to learn the theory, the professors have valued more that we are able to apply the concepts rather than memorise them,” indicates Lorena.

Lorena also gives a positive assessment of the subjects and the teaching staff in general: “All the professors were committed to our education. They allowed the students to stop their lectures for asking as many doubts as were necessary”.
