F. Ramón Villaplana was member of the Scientific Commeettee and chaired a panel

On May 16, 2024, Digipol participated in the international conference "Data Protection, Public Procurement, and Administrative Transparency: The New Decision-Making of the Public Administration in the Face of the Challenge of Artificial Intelligence and the Fight Against Corruption," held in the emblematic courtroom of the Faculty of Law of the University of Granada. The conference was organized by professors Sergio Foà, from the University of Turin, and Luis Miguel García Lozano, from the University of Granada, and had the collaboration of the Illustrious Bar Association of Granada.

On behalf of Digipol, F. Ramón Villaplana, visiting researcher at the University of Valencia and associate researcher of ESPOL-Lab Lille, participated in the Scientific Committee of the conference and moderated the communications table of the afternoon session. The session addressed issues such as the new European regulation on artificial intelligence, the protection of minors against algorithms and AI, the ethics of using military intelligence in industries such as armaments or the fight against fraud in electronic procurement.
